This workshop focuses on discovering the work of the puppeteer. Participants explore the basics of puppet manipulation through gesture, movement and emotion.

Pupils are introduced to the puppeteer’s posture, then, with tabletop rod puppets, they explore what makes the character come alive: gaze, gait, breath and emotion. An outline is also provided for short interplay between puppets.

This workshop can be combined with:
