Palomar is a toy theatre show based on Italo Calvino’s book of the same title. Through his silence and his insatiable desire to observe, Palomar ponders so many different aspects of existence. His attention is drawn to the mundane, such as the reflection of the sun on the sea, and to the most metaphysical of mysteries, such as the immense solitude that comes from knowing that we are all unique. We follow him on three of his adventures: The Naked Breast, The Albino Gorilla, and The Universe as Mirror.

Company
The Pensée visible theatre company emerged from the desire to explore the expressive potential of objects and images on stage. Particular attention is paid to creating handcrafted imagery. The company’s creative research focuses on simple materials, while preserving the complexity and richness of the images. The company’s first creation, Palomar, premiered in 2016 and its second creation, PIGS, premiered in March 2021.
