Deadline for submitting applications: <\/strong>February 16, 2024<\/p>\n Date of the residency for the Montr\u00e9al puppeteer in Italy: <\/strong>May 12 to June 8, 2025<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Thanks to the Conseil des arts de Montr\u00e9al<\/strong> program La route de l\u2019art<\/strong>, Casteliers is thrilled to announce the second \u201cinternational creative research cross-residency for professional puppeteers\u201c.<\/p>\n Casteliers is collaborating for the 2024-2025 season with Teatro Del Drago<\/strong> <\/a>and the Arrivano del Mare! Festival<\/strong> (Italy) to launch this call for proposals.<\/p>\n The Teatro del Drago<\/strong>, directed by the brothers Mauro and Andrea Monticelli and Roberta Colombo, deploys its activities on two fronts: that of tradition, with puppet shows and the conservation of the Monticelli collection, resulting from five generations of uninterrupted tradition, and that of research, through contemporary representations that use new materials and innovative manipulation techniques.<\/p>\n Since 2015, the Teatro del Drago<\/strong> has also been the artistic director of the\u00a0Arrivano del Mare!<\/strong><\/a> Festival Internazionale dei Burattini e delle Figure<\/strong>. Founded in 1975, this festival is one of the most famous festivals entirely dedicated to puppetry in Italy and in the world.<\/p>\n Casteliers\u00a0<\/strong>has been building bridges with Teatro del Drago<\/strong> since 2016.
