Petit bout de bois tells the story of the everyday life of street children in Senegal. It is a journey into the astonishing inventiveness and creativity of these children who scrape by with practically nothing, reinventing new ways to survive every day in a world of grown-ups…

Compagnie Djarama (Sénégal)
Compagnie Djarama is actively engaged in a humanistic approach that merges art and social issues. Since 2005, it has produced shows dealing with issues such as early marriage, female genital mutilation, girls’ access to school, and respect for the environment. Petit bout de bois premiered in 2018 and has since been presented in Burkina Faso, France, Romania, Brazil and Québec.
Le Tas de Sable – Ches Panses Vertes (France)
Le Tas de Sable – Ches Panses Vertes is a company and a space that does creative and cultural research work in the fields of puppetry arts and contemporary playwriting. It is also preparing to become a National Centre for Puppetry. The projects it develops for both audiences and artists fall into five main categories: Creative work & Presentation | Experimentation & Research | Mentoring & Production | Programming & Craftwork | Transmission & Training.
