Without words
A Théâtre Outremont and Casteliers co-presentation
In a forest where rivers sing, trees giggle, and curious dragonflies come to visit, a grumpy Old Man lives in his little house. Every day is exactly the same and he likes it that way, until one day…a magical creature leaps into his life and everything changes! This story of newfound friendship is performed without words to an enchanting musical score, and with beautifully designed puppets.
Themes: Nature, old age, friendship
Running time: 30 minutes
Technique: Table top

Company
The WeeFestival of Arts and Culture for Early Years was established in 2014. It was initially a project of Theatre Direct Canada, a company with a proven track record that produces original works and presents theatre for young audiences. The festival showcases plays and performances from around the world and from Canada that have been created specifically for children ages 0-6 years.
The festival also invests in the production of new works by commissioning shows and providing seed money to increase the number of works for very young audiences created by Canadian artists. In 2019, under the leadership of Lynda Hill, the festival became an independent organization. The WeeFestival celebrated its fifth edition in May 2020.
