KLUG (Morgan Euzenat, France)

Two very expressive eyes behind two metallic eyelids, an articulated mouth, a head-helmet that lolls on a body made of raw mechanical parts mounted on two wheels. KluG wanders among the crowd and reaches out to curious onlookers. Be prepared for a unique and very impromptu encounter with this metallic marionette that provokes some bizarre emotions.

Techniques: Automaton and Ambulatory

Running time: 20 minutes

THE COMPANY

TENON MORTAISE (Rapaces ou victimes ?)

Under the direction of founders Diane Loiselle and Denys Lefebvre, Tenon Mortaise™ creates, produces and performs multidisciplinary shows for family and adult audiences.

Tenon Mortaise breaks with traditional theatrical conventions and prefers to work with a dramaturgy based on body language at the crossroads of various genres. The company seeks to reach out to its audience, combining theatre, mime, dance, puppet theatre and shadow puppetry as well as pictorial art and video. Tenon Mortaise has developed its own theatrical language, marked by poetry, where image and gesture are as important as words. Since its foundation in 1996, the company has created and presented 10 productions in Québec and abroad.

MORGAN EUZENAT (KluG, France)

Self-taught spectator and do-it-yourself craftsman, Morgan Euzenat has spent the last 10 years going back and forth between the workshop and the stage.

Drawn to visual arts as a whole, he explores both traditional and modern puppet approaches: sometimes as a playwright-craftsman, other times as an actor-puppeteer.

His imagination hovers between cheeky cartoons, anachronistic fiction or even dreamlike mechanics.

His research focuses on new manipulation techniques for both stage and urban settings.
